Mária Ferenčuhová at the Printemps des Poètes festival in Luxembourg

The theme of this year's poetry gathering is "La Grâce" and 12 poets from 12 countries will express themselves through their work. We are very pleased that the organisers of the festival have approached the Slovak Literary Centre and included Slovakia among the participating countries.

The country will be represented by poet, translator and film researcher Mária Ferenčuhová, who has won several awards and whose work has been translated into more than 10 languages.

In addition to live performances and discussions with the audience at iconic cultural sites in Luxembourg, the festival also includes the publication of a selected poetic text in the Luxembourg media.

That is why on 19 April, readers of Luxembourg's daily Tageblatt were able to read Ferenčuhová’s poem Waterfall Phenomena (Force de marée ) in a translation by Silvia Majerská.

Maria Ferenčuhová’s participation in the festival was supported by the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Brussels.
