Lit_cast Slowakei #17 with Bernhard Borovansky

In 2008, the wife and husband duo Konstanze and Bernhard Borovansky took over the traditional Viennese publishing house Baumüller Verlag, specialized in non-fiction and prose. In both cathegories, the publishers seek out not only German-language titles, but also books in other languages. Among Russian and Czech titles (e.g. by Jiří KratochvilIva Procházková or Emil Hakl), the novel Dom hluchého (House of the Deaf Man) by the Slovak author Peter Krištúfek can also be found in its portfolio. Lit_cast Slowakei's host Mirko Moritz Kraetsch invites you to his talk with Bernhard Borovansky in which they discuss the importance of a publisher in introducing and mediating experiences of other cultures and languages and more.
