The Czech – and by now also a bit German – writer Jaroslav Rudiš reminisces about his relationship to Slovak language when he was growing up in the northern part of the Czech republic. He still feels connected to Slovakia: he loves the railway that connects the east of the country with the west and also the schnitzel served in the restaurant cars of Slovak trains. And for decades now, he has been a big fan of Slovak pop and rock music, especially of Živé kvety, Katarzia, Hex and Miro Žbirka. In the newest edition of LIT_cast Slowakei, he talks about the similarities between this type of music and literature.
