The book Rok Sivka ohniváka (published by Trio Publishing in 2018 and illustrated by Juraj Martiška) by Toňa Revajová which has received the Bibliotéka 2019 Prize, among other awards, has made the prestigious Honour List of IBBY - The International Board on Books for Young People. IBBY is an international organization that represents and supports books for children around the world. The IBBY Honour List is a biennal selection of outstanding books honoring the work of writers, illustrators and translators from IBBY member countries.
The selected titles should represent the best children's books from each membership country and their presence on the list increases their odds to be published in translation. In 2018, the Slovak books on the list were represented by Daniel Pastirčák's Rozprávka o lietajúcej Alžbetke.
Book collections from the list can be found in Munich, Zurich, Bratislava (Bibiana), St. Petersburg, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur or Tucson. More information about IBBY can be found on their website, the 2020 selection here.
