Jana Micenková (1980) studied Slovak language and literature at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prešov and odbor Screenwriting and Dramaturgy at FAMU in Prague. In 2013, she founded the independent theatre group Nekroteatro (www.nekroteatro.cz) in Prague, where she is still active as a playwright and director. Her theatre play Nekrogames won the prize for the best drama in 2013 as well as the VEJK AP prize for young playwrights in 2012. Her fictional debut, the collection of short stories Sladký život (Sweet Life, 2018) was nominated for the Anasoft Litera Award. In 2021, she published the novel Krv je len voda (Blood Is Just Water).
