Vadas has won the Literary Fund Prize in 1994 for Malý román (A Short Novel), the Bibiana Prize 2004 for best children’s book for Rozprávky z čiernej Afriky (Stories from Dark Africa) and the Anasoft Litera Award 2007 for his collection of short stories Liečiteľ (The Healer).
