Maroš Krajňak has graduated from the International Business School in Brno in 2006. His professional career has been in marketing, in the field of telecommunication services and the internet. A genealogical project Krajňak was sent on enabled him to travel around a particular Slovak region and inspired some of the real-life stories in his debut Carpathia (2011). Another novella from the Carpathian region called Entropia/Entropy followed in 2012. A loose trilogy with a Rusyn theme culminated in 2013 with Informácia/Information. All three books were nominated for the prestigious Anasoft Litera Prize. His latest book, Pogodowitz, came out in 2016.
