Author about himself

I don’t speak for any generation and I do not even belong to any generation.  As a matter of fact, I cannot recall that any poet or prose writer has spoken for his or her generation in the past ten years. In future I will make it easier for the readers. I’ll include a few more “endings” in my books, so they will not have to fret so much.

The Internet reflects to a considerable degree the eclecticism, superficiality, fragmentary and commercial nature of the information society in which we live. It is full of poems, but we cannot find there the complete works of any author; it puts W. Shakespeare on a level with S. King, the Odyssey with Dracula. There are far more interviews with authors about their books to be found on the net than excerpts from these books. The Internet offers a huge amount of metainformation about literature, so that at the moment it plays an advertising and promotional role. When it comes to reading literature the Internet is not at present a substitute for the public library.
