Simona Čechová is a freelance illustrator based in Trnava, Slovakia. She studied advertising design at the University of Bedfordshire in England (2010) and international marketing at Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland (2011). She’s a member of ASIL - the Slovak Illustrators Association. When she is not drawing, you can find her beekeeping, hiking, exploring cities, or finding beauty in ordinary things. She received the National Design Award 2020 for exceptional illustrations in the book Maliar a chlapec - prázdniny u Fullu (The Painter and the Boy - Holidays at Fulla's, published by Monokel, 2019).
