...Brezalaupurc, Pressburg, Preßburg, Poszony, Prešporok, Prešpurk, Presbourg… Via commented literary texts the author invites readers on an imaginary stroll through Bratislava and its centuries, with travellers, thinkers and writers serving as our guides. Extracts from their texts, notes, letters and travel diaries form a textual collage, a literary kaleidoscope, where images succeed one another as in a mirror, and then suddenly as in mobile glass fragments. Bratislava is shown from many angles of vision, from various historical periods. The subsequent image of the city is a diverse collage of forms and colours, a play of fragments and recurring motifs.
The book was published in French by Slovak Literary Center at occasion of the guest of honouring of Slovak literature on the international bookfair Livre Paris 2019.
