Dievčatko z veže / The Girl from the Tower

The Girl from the Tower  is the story of 10-year-old Ajka, raised by a single mom - an architect - in a unique and exciting place: a reconstructed tower on the outskirts of a small town. The girl is surrounded with interesting people. There is her faithful girlfriend, an old geologist, a woman interested in alternative medicine, a ex war pilot living in Paris but visiting his relatives in the small town, a circus boy with whom Ajka falls in love for the first time and most of all mom's boyfriend, the astronomer Daniel. At first, Daniel confuses the little girl to the point where she escapes from home but later, when he installs a telescope in the tip of the tower so that they can watch the night sky together, he win's over her trust.

The story subtly teaches children ecological sensitivity and a sensitivity towards fellow children who come from broken homes.
