Timi and Ema live at the end of the world, in a tiny basement apartment, which is too small to have a kids’ room. But the resourceful children find a way around that, and set up camp in an elevator machine room on the roof of a 16-story apartment building. Outside the window are the flickering lights of a big world as well as their mom’s light signals as she goes out to work every night. But how will Timi and Ema deal with the mysterious stranger who moves into their play area one day? Why did their mom’s light go out? Will they find the courage to go see what’s at the end of the world and a little beyond?
