A Phantasmagoric Friend (Fantazmagorický kamarát) is a book about friendship, bullying and the power of imagination. The main character is Papu-Pau, a child who plays not only with the reality surrounding him, but with words as well. The story is built on absurd humor, crazy ideas and puns. It begins in the middle of the week when Papu-Pau decides to walk home from school alone. There are monsters, bloodthirsty dogs and suspicious creatures lurking in the park that are a product of his imagination. That's why he puts on his hockey helmet of strength, throws a cloak of invisibility over his shoulders and sits his loyal thunderbolt on his shoulder. And in time of need, he is saved by his imaginary, phantasmagoric friend Cheetah. The illustrations by Martina Matlovičová and the graphic design by Mária Rojko are a distinctive part of this exceptional publication.
