The protagonists of these seven suggestive stories are young Slovak women looking for their place abroad, in relationships with foreigners. The author reflects the inner worlds of these women and surprises us with dark and unexpected elements of their character. Toxo does more than to only focus on the female experience; similarly, it goes beyond the borders of pschycological thriller. It brings attention to the undercurrents of our conscience present in all of us. From underneath banal, everyday chores a certain undescribable terror leaks out and paralyzes the protagonists and forces them to fight for their life space, their integrity and for themselves.
