Lonesome Joe lived in a deep valley where there was nothing and where nothing grew. He was often sad. But one morning, a surprise waited for him behind his cabin. A stray swarm of bees was looking for a new home. Joe was very happy about his new neighbors. He find out how wonderful it was to take care of someone. He also realized how important it is to start with oneself if we wish to bring about a positive change.
Simona Čechová is an illustrator and beekeeper. She grew up with bees, learning beekeeping from her father, who in turn learned from his father. They have been a family of beekeepers for over 120 years now.
