AB ART PRESS (Ing. Vladimír Bárta) is among the oldest private publishing houses in Slovakia. It was created in 1990 in the wake of the fall of communism, and is the personal publishing house of photographers and publicists Ing. Vladimír Bárta and Vladimír Bárta, Jr. It specialises in the creation of visual publications, largely works on nature, history (castles and towns), architecture, folklore, tourist guides and the regions of Slovakia. It maintains the largest photo archive on Slovakia as well as photographs from all over the world. Its photographs are also licensed for books and calendars created by other publishing houses, both in Slovakia and abroad.
