He was born 15 January 1973 in Čadca. He studied at gymnázium (secondary school) in Martin and the Secondary School for Auxiliary Medical Personnel in Bratislava. At present he works as a paramedic with an ambulance service. Since 2000 he has been an editor at the magazine for young literature and art Dotyky (Touches). His poems, short stories, articles and reviews have been published in the magazines Dotyky, Slovenské pohľady (Slovak Review), Literárny týždenník (Literary Weekly) and broadcasts on Slovak radio and elsewhere. At the Genovantotto Festival in Genoa he was awarded the International prize for a young poet. His first book of poems, A Chaste Night in Paris, received the Rudolf Sloboda prize.
