The British Centre for Literary Translation, Britain’s leading centre for the study and support of literary translation, was founded in 1989 as a place of residence to host visiting literary translators and as an institution dedicated to promoting and celebrating the art of literary translation. It is part of the School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. BCLT supports the MA in Literary Translation at the University.
