About us
RAK was founded in 1991 with a focus on publishing historical literature: scientific monographs, non-fiction and pure, uninterpreted sources. It was awarded a UNESCO prize in 2002 for “book of the year” and has received among others the E. E. Kisch Prize multiple times. Its substantial lines of publication include Traces of the Distant Past (planned for ten volumes), ten books on Bratislava and its most successful scientific work, Daniela Dvořáková's The Knight and His King (Stibor of Stiborice and Sigismund of Luxembourg).
