Curriculum vitae

Kraszewski obtained his doctorate from the State University of Pennsylvania, where he studied under the mentorship of the Czech poet Prof Rio Presiner, in 1990. He also studied at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (1984-1986). He published three poetry collections in English: Beast (2013), Diet of Nails (2014), and Chanameed (2014), and one in Polish: Hallo Sztokholm (2021). He translated selected writings of Ľudovít Štúr into English (Slavdom: A Selection of his Writings in Prose and Verse, London: Glagoslav, 2021). He is currently translating the diary of Janko Jesenský Cestou k slobode (On the Road to Freedom), selected poems from Čierne dni (Black Days) and Zo zajatia (From Captivity). Kraszewski is a member of the Society of Polish Writers (SPP) in Krakow and of the Union of Polish Writers Abroad (ZPPN) in London.
