Visual Field of Darkness

In his latest collection, Robert Bielik reflects on himself and the world from the perspective of Eastern philosophies (Buddhism, Taoism), which he intertwines with Christian truths. He himself considers his text to be something of a "theology written in haste". His vision of the world is marked by a sensitivity to pain, which he sees as a constant feature of existence we all have in common. The collection contains several dozen untitled texts that can be read as stand-alones, as they are relatively closed in terms of motifs; the reader can also experience them in the form of one large text consisting of fragmentary observations, remarks or reflections. The book can be read as a diary, richly illustrated with watercolors done by the author in Sri Lanka.
