MAPA SLOVAKIA was founded in 1991 and it focuses largely on publishing activities. It is unique in having its own digital cartography files on the Slovak territory, including all towns and most villages. From these
materials it produces orientational maps, city atlases, auto maps and auto atlases. It publishes its titles independently and licenses to other parties, as well as publishing and producing cartographic materials to order. Its digital mapping materials are used as the foundation of a number of map websites.
The publisher's team of authors has created records, publications and geographical encyclopaedias which make available geographical data and information on record-setting phenomena from Slovakia as well as worldwide.
Since 1999 the company has specialised in teaching aids for all types of schools, including wall maps, geographical and ethnographical atlases of Slovakia, geographical atlases of Europe and the world and workbooks combining the merits of workbooks and notebooks.
