VYDAVATEĽSTVO Q111 was founded in 1990 by author and book designer Kvetuša Dašková after nearly 30 years of work with the Mladé letá publishing house, which specializes in works for children and young people. She is the author of numerous children's books, many of which have received awards Triple Rose Award (Trojruža) in 2016. Q111 publishes quality, non-commercial literature for children and adults, a point spoken to by the fact that 17 of its children's books have received awards from Bibiana, the International House of Art for Children, as the best or most attractive books of the season. In most prestigious competition, Anasoft litera, these books were nominated:
– Rút Lichnerová: Anna Regina (2006)
– Alexandra Salmela: 27 so death makes an artist (2011)
– Jaroslava Blažková: That child is a fool (2014)
Its Slovak Fairy Tales, illustrated by distinguished painter Martin Benka, has also been published in Chinese and Bulgarian translations. VYDAVATEĽSTVO Q111 has
published more than 170 titles in all.
