The title of the author’s tenth poetry collection suggests two things – evolution and transformation. What is the trajectory of man’s inner evolution? How is it influenced by family genealogy, close relationships, life events or art? When does the metamorphosis occur? Does the turbulent world have a center, and can it rest? The texts are mostly narrative in nature, corresponding to the author’s character. In the poems, composed as a stream of sequences, a lyrical element stands out reflecting both beauty and unease-the bonds between life and poetry. The subtle and the effusive is counter-balanced by the precise language of the 'biologist'; the 'atlases' of woodland insects and songbirds form a particularly compelling thread in the book. The collection aspires to be the author's seminal work.
