Bezprsté mesto / Fingerless Town

Fingerless Town is a contemporary urban novel with a detective plot. The main protagonist Edo closely guards his own personal freedom and so-called prosperity, and ignores the demands of the age. His relationships are foundering through his immaturity and inability to fulfil any obligation. He spends hours philosophising in his own favourite armchair, or talking with the mafia figure Pauli, a barfly in a certain Bratislava bar. After a series of pointless murders he becomes one of the prime suspects and begins to search for the killer on his own initiative.
